The rock photos for Spider Grandmother were taken in 2018 on a vacation to Tseyi - Canyon de Chelley, Arizona.

This was a beautiful canyon with a stunning columnar formation rising hundreds of feet from the canyon floor - called Spider rock. As this panel was being created, I could see the traditional weaving patterns showing themselves and understand how the land translates into the art.
